Health insurance funds compared
There are seven public health insurers in Czechia. The basic scope of covered care is the same, they differ in prevention programmes and allowances. You can switch funds once every 12 months, effective on 1 January or 1 July.

Submit your application to the new insurer at least three months before 1 January or 1 July, that is by the end of September or the end of March. You can change insurer once every 12 months. Remember to tell your employer and healthcare providers about the new fund.
